Delete your boboQ account
You can do this from the app as well. In boboQ, the customer app: Profile, then Delete My Account. In boboQ Business, the app a stall is run from: Help & support, at the foot, under the licences. This page is here so you can do it without installing anything.
Both kinds of account can be deleted here, and what happens differs, because a customer and a stall are not holding the same things. Read the part that is yours.
If you are a customer — what this deletes
- Your name and photo, and the link between your account and your phone number.
- Your login. The number stops being yours and signing in with it afterwards starts a new, empty account.
- Your name and number on any queue tickets you opened from a stall's QR code.
- Any notification handles for your phone, so nothing can reach it again.
What stays, and why
Past orders and their payment records remain, belonging to an anonymous customer with no name or number attached. We are required to keep the financial record of a sale; we are not required to keep you attached to it, and we don't.
If you run a stall — what this deletes
- Your stall's name, which becomes Deleted stall, and its photo.
- Your FSSAI licence number.
- Your login, detached from the stall. The number stops being yours.
- Your bank account details, deleted outright — not anonymised. Where somebody's money goes is the most sensitive thing we hold, and once nothing is owed there is nothing it is needed for.
- Any notification handles for your phone, so no order alert can reach it again.
The stall is paused and cannot be found or joined by anybody. Its past orders and what was sold stay, for the same reason a customer's do: they are the record of money that moved, and erasing it would be a hole in the books rather than a privacy improvement.
When a stall cannot be deleted yet
Two things stop it, and both are for your protection rather than ours:
- Somebody is still in your queue. Serve or cancel everybody waiting first — otherwise people standing at your counter are left holding a place in a line that no longer exists.
- A payout has not reached your bank yet. Wait until the last one has arrived. Deleting the account it is owed to is the part that cannot be undone.
If either applies, nothing is erased and you will be told which one it is.
This cannot be undone, and it happens immediately. There is no grace period.
